If I'm Your Friend...

 
I will:

    Be there when you need me,
    Offer a shoulder to lean on,
    Try to understand,
    Never put you down,
    Encourage and uplift you,
    Show interest in your endeavors,
    Praise your good fortune,
    Empathize your misfortune,
    Support your decisions,
    Stand with you against all odds,
    Walk with you instead in front of you,
    Share a smile when you're feeling blue,
    And pray for you daily.

You can:

    Talk to me anytime,
    Ask for advice or give it freely,
    Teach me in your own sweet way,
    Share words of wisdom,
    Feel free to correct me,
    Expect no condemnation,
    Depend on my loyalty & integrity,
    Accept my word,
    Count on my listening ear,
    Look to me for kindness,
    Touch my tender heart,
    Share in my happiness,
    And know that I believe in God.

We shall:
 
    Be close in thought,
    Have someone that truly cares,
    Stand strong together,
    Look beyond our differences,
    Try to do what's best for the other,
    Rely on experience,
    But yet look to the future,
    Exchange a few laughs,
    Be silly when we want to,
    Tell our deepest secrets,
    Feel each other's pain,
    Experience each other's joy,
    And share our faith in God.

What makes me want this unique relationship?
You, my friend.
The person who means the world to me;
Someone who knows what friendship is all about.
And if you, too, want this special bond,
