Worthy
Is The Lamb
Worthy
Is The Lamb” is what my ears hear.
I asked God one day to make this perfectly
clear.
What does this phrase mean?
What does it say to me?
And God showed me how this phrase made me free.
Worthy,
He described as deserving and good.
One is deserving when they do what they should.
Then God explained there’s only One worthy of
His love.
That is Jesus Christ, His Son from up above.
God
called Christ “The Lamb”, as in a little
sheep.
He’s also our Shepherd, watching over us while
we sleep.
Like in a slaughterhouse, where the little sheep
are slain,
Christ became the sacrifice that allows us to
live again.

Christ came
down to earth in the image of mere man,
To tell us of God’s love the best way He can.
He told us over and over, and still some of us
couldn’t see
The sacrifice He was about to make for you and
for me.
Christ
is our example of how each of us should act.
In the New Testament it’s written down as
fact.
And yet, some of us still refuse to believe and
see.
So for our sinful ways, Christ hung upon the
tree.
Even
on the cross, Christ showed us how to live.
He showed us how to love each other and how to
forgive.
He took our sins upon Him, while alone on the
cross He stayed.
God could not look at Him, even when He prayed.

And with His final breath, He closed His eyes
and died.
As blood and water together seeped from the hole
in His side.
Jesus died for me, as sinful as I am.
And so I say in earnestness,
“WORTHY IS THE LAMB”.
