Priceless Gift
I can wish you
a Merry Christmas
and lots
of Yuletide cheer...
And all the
happiness a lifetime can bring
All thru the
coming year,
But...
There will be
no ribbons, wrappings or bows...
No tinsel or
trimming, 'cause as everybody knows,
Times are hard
and things are bad,
There's so
little money to be had.
I cannot offer
you silver or gold,
Or any of
those fancy things.
What I
have to give can't be bought or sold,
Like silver
spoons or golden rings.
My love,
friendship, sincerity...
And for
you...a candle will burn.

Nothing more
to give, my friend...
And I ask
nothing more in return.
