Praying Hands
Two praying hands, so
humbly clasped, so beautiful to me!
Bring thoughts of the hands of My Savior, as He prayed
at Gethsemane.
So soon to bear the prints of nails, unholy desecration!
These gentle, healing, care-worn hands, so used to
tribulation.
In golden glory are they wrought, folded in meditation.
A holy Gift, reminding me of a Christian's obligation.
And as I got about my tasks, sometimes life's burdens
blind me
To the glory of God's Holy Plan, but my Praying Hands
remind me
To cast at his feet all my burdens, in humble
supplication
With faith that Jesus will give me His comfort and
consolation.
And I'll clasp my hands and ask Him, for strength and
dedication
To reach that ever shining goal of Christ-like
consecration.
