Jesus Signed My Pardon

Jesus signed my pardon, that day upon the cross.
I was just like so many - wondering, forever lost.
But now a new life I have found, here on this place called earth.
Because Jesus signed my pardon, and took away all that pain and hurt.
Yes, my friend, you see, He bellied up to the bar.
And fellers, let me tell you he signed them pardons near and far.
It don't take much to get it done. Now just forget that cowboy pride.
Then buddy let me tell you, you will have one heck of a ride.
Just ask God to forgive you for all them sins and such;
And tell him you believe in Jesus. Now see there man, that ain't too tough.
And when they make that last roundup, fellers, you're going to be mounted well;
Your ponies will be fat and sassy and you will be feeling swell.
You will be standing tall in the saddle when you go thru the pearly gates.
Because Jesus signed that pardon before it was too late.
