It's Time
Rain is
falling in heavy sheets
Temperatures outside are dipping low
"Old Man Winter" is fast approaching
And it will soon begin to snow.
Thanksgiving Day is over now;
People are heading for the malls.
It time to start their Christmas shopping
And sing "Silent Night" and
"Deck The Halls"
It's time for drinking creamy eggnog
And eating nuts and chocolate cherries
It's time for taking sleigh rides
And being oh, so very merry!
It's time for going to office parties
And decorating Christmas trees
It's time to go out Caroling
And see animals in live Nativities.
It's time for baking cookies and bread
And sending out your Christmas cards
It's time for making "Frosty The
Snowman"
In the middle of your front yard.
It's time for you to contemplate
The true meaning of Christmas Day
It's time to remember the birth of a baby
In a lowly manger far away.
It's time to set aside Earthly things
And let your spirit be renewed
By reflecting upon Jesus Christ
And what His birth has meant to you.
It's time to share The Christmas Story
With those both far and near
You'll be blessed and so will they
As you welcome in the next New Year!
