A Salute To Our Heroes
Today we celebrate
Memorial Day,
To honor those who fought
in wars.
For those who gave their
lives for us,
And went through all those
horrors.
Some came home to their
families,
But some never did.
Some were buried in
foreign lands,
In lands they never lived.
Our sorrow will go on
living,
In our minds for
those still there.
Never to be forgotten,
And all those things we
shared.
Love of families and
festive holidays,
And birthday celebrations.
The excitement of a
child being born,
Hope for long and
secure relations.
A salute to those that
love their homeland,
Willing to fight for all,
Surrendering their life from
loved ones,
When their duty to country
calls.
God Bless America,
May God permit us to stay
free,
Because of brave men and
women,
And our faith in God,
we trust in Thee.
