Stands Still
My Heart stands still each time you look at me
And, when I look into your eyes, love is all I see.
We've been
together for years and years.
You've shared my laughter and dried all my tears.
Forever with you is
where my heart longs to be.
You make my heart stand still, when you look at me.
You've been my friend and my lover
And, now, I've discovered that,
To my heart, your
hands hold the key.
And, I know you will
stay, just a heartbeat away,
Every time you look at me.
Sweetheart, you hold me like the heavens
Hold the stars up in the sky
And I could never love another.
You know, my heart won't even try.
Darling you know you can't conceal
This true love you feel for me.
You've known all
along, inside your heart,
That my love was your destiny.
And, I know this is true when
I see your love shining through -
Every time you look at me.
