Happy Father's Day

When I was 6 years old, 

My father was SUPERMAN...

Super Strong, Super Fun, Super Smart,

Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!

When I was 12 years old,

My father was one tough guy...

Introduced me to work,

watched my grades in school,

kept me in church on time.

When I was 16 years old,

my father was so Un-Cool,

didn't understand things,

could never have been young himself,

knew nothing I needed to learn...

By the time I was 22...

I was amazed what the old man had learned !! 

in just 6 years...

He could now explain so many things about life

that I was experiencing for the first time...

He could share stories of how he and others

had managed work, family and church.

He held a wealth of knowledge,

that I desperately needed to learn!

When I was 30... 

my wife delivered our first child.

I finally started to understand what my father had faced.

I found new respect for the work he had done.

I understood the responsibilities he carried over the years,

and found new joy watching him hold my little girl.

I'm 37 now,

we have a second daughter,

and my phone bill has never been so high. . .

Superman always answers my calls!

Happy Father's Day, Dad ...

and thank you!
