A Rosary at Christmas

In fear she gave her Fiat, when Gabriel flew to her side.
"Blessed are you among women!" her joyful cousin cried!
To a waiting world came the Lamb of God,
Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
The sword prophesied at the Temple's gate.
The Child, in wisdom, did teach.

Gethsemane's rock held His prayers and tears,
While the pillar's chains held Him down.
His sinless Body in silent pain, beneath a thorny crown.
Along the narrow streets He forged to Golgotha's lofty plain,
The rough hewn cross, the symbol of Love,
the Lamb would soon be slain.

Our Source of Hope, the Resurrected Christ,
The chains of death has spurned;
Disciples watch as He ascends, with His promise to return.
His Paraclete, the Comforter true,
descends in the form of a Dove,
Shielding them through the lands' domain
'neath the Mantle of His Love.
His Mother Mary, with angel guides joins her triumphant Son,
To be with Him for evermore, in majesty, two Hearts as one.

The Triune God in majesty reigns with Jesus His Son at His Side.
To come again to a waiting world where sinful hearts still abide.

Be joyful then, while waiting, for He will come again.
And at the Angel's trumpet blast, the Prince of Peace will reign.
As King of kings and Lord of lords for all eternity,
We praise Him thus throughout the earth,
As our Divine Majesty.
