At Christmas

|
A minister is visiting
his children to celebrate Christmas.
When he walks into
the house, he sees a beautiful nativity set.
His granddaughter walks up to him,
and he asks her if she knows
what it is.
She replies, "Yes. . . it's breakable."

A mother asked her 3-year old son if he saw Santa Claus on
Christmas Eve.
"No, it was too dark," he said.
"But I
heard what he yelled when he stubbed his toe on the living room
couch!"

I figured that at age seven it was inevitable for my son to
begin having doubts about Santa Claus.
Sure enough, one day he said,"Mom, I know something about
Santa Claus,
|
|
|
the Easter Bunny, |
and the Tooth Fairy."
|

|
Taking a deep breath, I asked him, "What is that?"
He replied,
"They're all nocturnal."

Christmas was fast approaching when Mom
reminded her 8-year old
son that he would
soon be visiting Santa Claus.
He seemed unusually resistant to the idea.
"You do believe in Santa, don't you?"
Mom asked
her son.
He thought hard, then said,
"Yes, but I think this is the
last year."

The Sunday after Christmas, the Sunday School teacher told her
students about an angel appearing
to Joseph in a dream, warning him about danger to the baby Jesus
and telling him how to escape from it.
After the story time, the students were given the opportunity to
draw a picture about the story.
Most of the pictures were predictable, but Larry's had an odd
element to it.
"Larry, I see Joseph and Mary and the baby Jesus on a
donkey, but what is that following the donkey?"
"It's the flea, teacher," he replied.
"Flea...? Ah... what flea?" asked the teacher.
To which the boy faithfully repeated the Bible verse,
"Take Mary and Jesus and flea to Egypt." he said.
"There's Mary, there's Jesus and there's the flea."
