Christmas

In a manger in the stable,
On a quiet peaceful night,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes,
Surrounded by the Light.

He was born to the Virgin Mary,
God's miracle on Earth.
And a Heavenly Host of Angels,
Proclaimed the Christ Child's birth.

They appeared in the fields to the shepherds,
Who were watching over their sheep.
And the shepherds were so afraid,
They shook, and began to weep.

The Angels said, "Fear not,
For God has sent us here.
To spread the tidings of His birth,
And fill your hearts with cheer."

"Go to the stable in Bethlehem,
Follow the bright star's light.
Where you will find the Christ Child,
In a manger on this night."

So the shepherds left their fields,
And were guided by the light.
They came to the stable in Bethlehem,
On this wondrous night of nights.

They saw the Babe in the manger,
With all the Angels standing round.
They gave thanks to God, and Praised Him,
As they knelt upon the ground.

Oh, what a glorious night it was,
The night of our Savior's birth.
When Angels touched their harps of gold,
Proclaiming, "Peace on Earth."
